6mm Terrain Painted!

I've painted up the terrain I've built and am quite pleased with the results. I have 3 more modules ready for paint, for a total of 9.They are all just flat so far, so I think I may build some hills topped with steel paper onto 2 of the remaining ones.

With rocks and trees

Painted 110mm steel modules

Self adhesive "felt" vinyl on the backs

...So the finish is protected when stacking (not to mention the table)
magnet+blob of putty+plastic toothpick+clump foliage= tree

A 4 module setup

  3. Very nice set of boards

Can I ask what you used as the base material - card / metal / wood?

  4. Thanks Andrew. Each piece is a 110mm sheet steel square. I sand it a bit to rough it up then spray paint it with some undercoat, paint it with PVA and paint it. Lastly, I put a fake-felt backing onto each one with self-adhesive vinyl.

  5. Great work! You inspired me on getting some 6mm Sci-Fi Minis. The portability of this terrain is conveniant for storage of a more-than-one-evening campaign.

    Keep the good work up!
